50 and 60 Year Achievements

A Night to Remember: Honouring Six Decades of Dedicated Masonic Service

On the evening of Tuesday, October 6th, 2026, Vermillion Lodge #68 was delighted to host a celebration in honour of two of our most distinguished Brethren, recognising their outstanding contributions to Freemasonry spanning well over half a century.

Our Worshipful Master, W Bro. Jake Rana, welcomed the assembled Brethren as we gathered to pay tribute to RW Bro. Terry Maxwell, who was presented with his 50 Year Pin, and RW Bro. Jim Galbraith, who received his 60 Year Bar in recognition of his six decades of devoted service to the Craft.

The distinguished RW Bro. Roi Cabrera, DDGM of District 3, was present to offer his congratulations and to share in the recognition of these exceptional milestones. Standing to the left of the recipients, RW Bro. Roi Cabrera brought the honour of the District to bear upon the occasion, while on the right, our own W Bro. Jake Rana ensured the Lodge’s voice was heard in celebrating these achievements.

Adding depth and meaning to the evening, RW Bro. Terry Maxwell graciously presented a compelling history of Grandview Lodge in Grandview, Manitoba, where both recipients were members. His presentation wove together the rich heritage of that venerable Lodge with connections to Robbie Burns Lodge in Gilbert Plains, highlighting the interwoven threads of Masonic brotherhood that have bound our Brethren across the Parkland region for generations.

The presentation was met with warm applause, as Brothers shared stories and recalled the countless acts of kindness, leadership, and quiet dedication that have defined both recipients’ long Masonic journeys. It was a poignant reminder that the strength of our Fraternity rests upon the shoulders of those who have served faithfully, year after year.

On behalf of the Officers, Members, and families of Vermillion Lodge #68, our heartfelt congratulations to RW Bro. Terry Maxwell and RW Bro. Jim Galbraith on these well-deserved honours. May their continued health and happiness inspire us all to follow in their footsteps of dedicated service to God, to Country, and to Brotherly Love.

Congratulations, Brethren!
